Gigi Hadid's Met Gala Beauty Breakdown

Makeup Artist: Patrick Ta

Face: Starting with a clean face, Ta applied a thick moisturizer to create a luminous and smooth base. He then applied Maybelline New York Master Prime in Blur + Illuminate, followed by Maybelline New York Dream Pure BB to ensure Gigi’s complexion looked "clean and bright."

Contour and Cheeks: Ta lightly contoured the hallows of Hadid’s cheeks accentuating the cheekbones using the bronzer from Maybelline New York Face Studio Master Contour Face Contouring Pro Palette. He then used the same bronzer on the apples of her cheeks to create a healthy flush. Next, Ta dusted Hadid’s face with Maybelline New York Face Studio Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Powder in Translucent to ensure staying power throughout the entire evening. He finished her complexion by spraying the face with Maybelline New York Face Studio Master Fix Setting Spray to give skin a natural finish.

Eyes: Hadid wanted the eyes to look bright and clean, yet sultry. To create the look, Ta applied a champagne shade in the crease and a neutral shade on the lid from Maybelline New York The Blushed Nudes Palette. Next, using an angled brush he applied the dark brown shade from Maybelline New York The Nudes Palette, drawing a thin winged line starting half way on the eyelid. Ta then added silver glitter to the eyelids. He curled Hadid’s lashes and applied two coats of Maybelline New York The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara in Brownish Black.

Brows: To amplify Hadid’s brows, Ta used Maybelline New York Eye Studio Brow Precise Pencil in Blonde.

Lips: Ta completed the look by mixing Maybelline New York Colour Sensational The Creamy Mattes Lip colour in Nude Nuance with Maybelline New York Colour Sensational Lip colour in Born With It – creating a flesh tone shade - to complement Hadid’s more vibrant blush colour.
